Established in 2014 and based in South West London, ATELIER SKC creates bespoke furniture, as well as focusing on modern and traditional upholstery commissions.
“Both of my roles at House & Garden and John Minshaw Designs influenced so many of my decisions, when deciding “what to do next”.
After a career break to start a family, I had to look at my life in a different way. I have always loved interiors and fabrics, so it was not long before I realised that upholstery could become something I could explore as a new avenue.
After four years of retraining, I completed the AMUSF diploma with a distinction.
Upholstery opened up my eyes to detail. No item is the same. I spend my days working out how to improve items that come my way. I find there is so much that can be done. It just needs a little creative thinking and discussion.”
